Parents have two moods:
“You’re a teenager you’re practically an adult you should be doing all this stuff on your own.”
and
“You’re just a teenager! You’re still a child and are basically not allowed to do anything you want to.”
friendly reminder that you don’t have to be around people who upset you or make you uncomfortable, even if those people are “friends” or “family”. you don’t owe them anything and you don’t deserve to be treated that way. you should surround yourself with people that are emotionally supportive because you deserve to be happy.
wish I had read this a few days ago.
fun fact i learned yesterday: a group of pugs is called a “grumble”
i think my neighbourhood deserves a sitcom because there’s
- me, the teen blogger
- a house with 8 nuns
- a drug dealer who drives a hummer
- a scottish man who only ever wears a kilt and mows his lawn at 3 am
- an elderly couple who drive everywhere on their lawn mower
- a peacock who has been roaming the neighbourhood for years and no one knows why or where it came from
I’d watch the shit outta that show
yeah shit me too sign me up
